Below is a
blender review and comparison of two of the bestselling countertop blenders – the Cuisinart CPB 300 SmartPower 15 Piece Compact Portable Blending Chopping System and the KitchenAid KSB560OB 5-Speed 56-Ounce Blender. The Cuisinart blender is designed as a compact, small utility blender with a 350 watt motor. Besides the 32 ounce jar, the Cuisinart blender also comes with an 8 ounce chopper cup and four 16 ounce glasses for smoothies. In contrast, the KitchenAid blender is a larger 671 watt blender that is designed for more substantail use including ice chopping.
The biggest difference between the two blenders is the Kitchenaid’s five speeds and larger size versus Cuisinart’s three speeds. However, the Cuisinart carries a longer three year limited warranty. Both blenders receive high marks at 4 stars out of 5. As of this article date, the Kitchenaid blender was about $20 more expensive than the Cuisinart.
If you will be using a blender often and making smoothies, blended drinks and larger batches of food, then the extra $20 for the KitchenAid is likely a worthwhile investment. However, for the price, the Cuisinart blender is an excellent blender for the occasional user.
